Fishing Charters Out Of Gloucester, Massachusetts

“This is THE place to charter with if you want to catch fish. We had the time of our lives and I’d recommend Gloucester Charter Connection to anyone who wants to spend a day on the Atlantic Ocean and catch fish. We landed a giant Bluefin Tuna by noon and spent the rest of the day catching Bluefish and Cod.”

J.S. - Providence, Rhode Island

Gloucester Charter Connection is your one-stop place to book the best Giant Bluefin Tuna Charters.

Gloucester is the port to begin and end your journey to catch a Bluefin Tuna, especially a Giant Bluefin Tuna.

FACT: Gloucester is the Bluefin Tuna Capital of the world and the oldest seaport in the US.

Captain Johnny Johnson has been hunting tuna for over 30 years and our fleet is comprised of well-known fishing captains revered in the area, as well as seen on the ‘Wicked Tuna’ Show, who have spent their lives studying and hunting this incredible fish.

Beginning around July 1st through the end of the season, sometime in November, we book 1-4 day Tuna Charters. When you book for a minimum of 2 days, weather permitting, we spend the night on the ocean fishing tuna at no additional cost. This translates to almost 3 days worth of Tuna Hunting.

Prices will vary depending on the number of days, the number of people and type of trip requested. Returning customers and members of the military or service members such as police and firefighters receive an additional discount.

Don’t have a full group (4-6) to fill the boat – NO PROBLEM? Just let us know and we will try our best to pair you with another small group or single to ensure you can afford and enjoy this adventure. See our FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS page for answers to specific questions on our charters.

Meet Our Captains

Captain Mauro - The Kelly Ann

Captain Mauro DiBacco is a very well respected fisherman and captain in New England. He has more than 20 years of experience catching Bluefin tuna as well as groundfish charter fishing. The Kelly Ann is a fish fighting machine. You won't forget your day on the Kelly Ann, we guarantee it.

Captain Kevin - The Whistler

The Whistler is captained by Kevin Granfield, who started fishing when he was only 4 years old. He loves the ocean and there is a rumor that "salt water runs through his veins."  Kevin has an intimate knowledge of the ocean waters off of Massachusetts from the Cape Cod Bay north to the Gulf of Maine.

Captain Johnny - The Subdivider

Fishing is in Captain Johnny's family and his Dad was a world record blue catfish fisherman. Catching GIANT FISH is in his blood. His fishing boat, the Subdivider, is recognized as one of the best charter fishing boats in the Gloucester charter fishing fleet. This past season the Subdivider landed over 100 Bluefin tuna and was a winner in the Bluefin Blowout Tournament.
